For the second year running Custom has sponsored a team for the 3 day fundraising bike ride ‘Sydney to the Hunter’ raising money for ONE80TC.
ONE80TC is a charity program, which helps 16 to 35 year old men with serious issues such as such as drug & alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, depression and suicidal tendencies to face their challenges and turn their lives around.
Custom has strong ties with ONE80TC, including the CEO Mark Burgess, being a board member. Mark became involved with ONE80TC, as it’s a facility that allows men facing difficult times a chance to meet their full potential. Read more »

Custom Care Queensland will be headed by Robert Cridland, bringing over 24 years experience in the bus body building, automotive refinishing, customer service and motor home manufacturing industry. Rob started his career as an apprentice panel beater and painter, he managed panel shops and previously worked with Custom, building buses for 11 years and manufactured and repaired mobile homes. The New Generation SB50 School Bus from Custom is turning heads. Released in Melbourne at the Victorian Bus Expo the first few SB50’s have been seen moving around Australia.
The SB50 is the newest bus from Custom & is the sister to the next generation CB80 low floor city bus. The SB50 has been developed after 55 years of building school buses but more importantly with lots of customer & operational feedback. The official opening of the new NSW Custom manufacturing plant in Villawood was officially opened 24th May 2010 by the Premier of NSW Kristina Keneally with the NSW Minister of Roads and Transport John Robertson.
This $20 million investment by Custom represents the changing forces within the organisation to modernise whilst maintaining its manufacturing base in Western Sydney NSW. With many Australian organisations moving its manufacturing offshore this level of investment in local industry is something to celebrate. Read more »
