The New Generation SB50 School Bus from Custom is turning heads. Released in Melbourne at the Victorian Bus Expo the first few SB50’s have been seen moving around Australia.
The SB50 is the newest bus from Custom & is the sister to the next generation CB80 low floor city bus. The SB50 has been developed after 55 years of building school buses but more importantly with lots of customer & operational feedback. The SB50 includes a whole list of features that makes operating a school bus cheaper, safer and will provide operators with the best value for money.
The first two SB50’s are clocking up the miles and every aspect of the bus is being checked and re-checked. Nothing is being left to chance, the SB50 is a high quality product and the Custom Engineers are keeping an eye on every detail. “Quality, quality, quality this is the theme of the SB50 bus, high quality components & high quality performance. The SB50 is the best school bus we’ve ever designed” according to Luke Hardy Custom General Manager Engineer.
“We’ve just finished 10 months of field testing on the CB80 prototype and we have had great feedback from operators & we’ve learnt a lot too. Now the SB50 is starting to clock up miles. Our aim is to provide bus operators with the most cost effective & reliable buses in the world” stated Luke.
So far the first of the SB50’s have been seen travelling around several areas – Melbourne, Sydney, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Dubbo and Taree.
And that’s in the first month since the release! You can expect to see the SB50 in your town soon.
